WAGS believes all waiting animals deserve support.

WAGS had long been a dream of its founder, Sue Furtado, who spoke regularly of one day starting a rescue when she retired/had time/had money. In 2017, she attended the Humane Society of the United States Expo and, on the flight back, decided the time was now. WAGS was officially founded in December 2017 when a dedicated group of volunteers came together to begin our mission.
